Evil Leaking.

March 9, 2009

Wow, this must surely be a record? 10 days before the intended release date it appears that the Resident Evil 5 iso has leaked out into the world wide web. This is quite shocking and somewhat saddening. But at least the pirates who download said iso will have the decency to go out and buy the game.

I personally cannot be effed downloading the 6gb iso file am perfectly happy waiting for its release this week. Not long now really, and I have various other activities to hold me over until said release. However, having said all this, I am going into Resident Evil 5 cautiously. I have been reading over what people have been saying about the final game and it is sounding a bit iffy in terms of quality. Though I have no doubt it’ll be worth buying, I don’t know if it’ll be a top game. I have heard complaints about the story, about Wesker, and about general lack of originality. So I will not judge until I have my own copy of the game. But until that moment, I remain cautious.

I’ll probably get the review up as soon as I finish it. For now, expect a Fire Emblem – Shadow Dragon review this weekend.

Much love to you all!! (Who bother reading this, haha)

Busy Times Ahead.

January 27, 2009

Wow, just when you thought a gaming break was coming up suddenly games upon games are unleashed. In the next couple of months alone I am anticipating (and purchasing) Fire Emblem – Shadow Dragon, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, and Bionic Commando. Those are four big games I’ve been looking forward too. Dear God, and around that period is my return to University. Sigh!!

Anyway, its going to be big, but I’m very excited. Heck, so much so to the point that I’m even considering importing Silent Hill V – Homecoming from America. Why? I heard decent things about it, even from there Silent Hill fans. So you know, why the hell not.

And finally I recently won my bidding war on eBay and scored a copy of the timeless classic Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for my Gamecube. Its costing me $95.00, but its so worth every cent. So in brief, its awesome to be me at the moment.

Much love to you all blog world!!

Mother 3 Patch… Released.

October 18, 2008

What a glorious day! I love it when fans do what Nintendon’t. And no, in this case it isn’t just translating an old, classic Fire Emblem game. This time its translating the *much* hyped Mother 3 GBA game. Why is this a big deal? Well, if you’ve been living under a rock then I will tell you now that Earthbound (From the SNES, starring Ness) was actually Mother 2. Getting it yet? Mother 3 stars Lucas (who debuted in Smash Bros. Brawl) and has been something many fans have been praying for a English-speaking release… but alas, no such thing came.

So the good people over at Starmen.net done us a great service. They have translated the game into English for the many Earthbound fans around the world. Unfortunately for Earthbound fans, for some reason Nintendo doesn’t seem to have interest in translating and releasing it stateside… even though they did it for the obscure title of Fire Emblem 1 on DS. You may say Fire Emblem isn’t obscure, but to the English speaking world… it was (unless you did your research).

Anyway. Play it. Play it now. I am.

Next up on my list of things to write about is that new horror game that was sneakily leaked out of Hudson but quickly sealed back up, it goes by the name “The Calling.” And I will tell you now, it’s very much looking like Dementium x Fatal Frame.
